United Way of Jasper County’s Varsity Letter Program recognizes high school students who have made an exceptional commitment to their community through volunteer work over the course of a year. The program encourages students to pursue service opportunities that provide skills and leadership development, expands their interests, and gives back to the community.
Students must register for the program and get guardian signature (see registration form) and can then log service hours with our paper log in sheet (see below) or online at https://forms.gle/cXeCYRapdBKRkyt78. Upon completion of 100 service hours, students receive a Varsity Letter in Community Service and are recognized by United Way of Jasper County. The program is open to all Newton High School and WEST Academy students in 9th-12th grades. Hours completed for Silver Cord can often times be used towards the Varsity Letter as well. United Way of Jasper County welcomes other Jasper County schools to participate as well. If you'd like your high school to be a part of the program please contact United Way. Questions?
